[ February 28 2021 ] Game Updates

Three weeks ago I had posted a poll regarding bringing a select few items from OSRS into our economy. A lot of people participated in the discussion and a lot of great points were made regarding the pros and cons. Fortunately, there was an overwhelming amount of votes in supporting the decision of adding the items. I would like to thank everyone who engaged in the community decision. This update will contain the OSRS items.

 

Fishing

  •  All fishing spots are available to fishing
  •  Proper checks for bait and tools 
  •  Added to skill pass
  •  Rocktail & karambwan can only be fished when doing your pass assignment 

 

Slayer

  •  Re-constructed the slayer interface
  •  Added a bit more functionality to the system
  •  Fixed various bugs with task assignments
  •  Added new methods of accepting tasks (player pvp, bot pvp, or pvm)
  •  Added a bunch of new slayer tasks 
  •  Added a slayer store for all items that may be needed for a task
  •  Adjusted prices of the main shop & added some new items
  •  Ability to select the length of your task (has bonus for increases)

 

Slaughter

  •  Added to the skill pass
  •  Skill pass will give token rewards instead of skill tickets
  •  Slaughter tokens can be exchanged for chaotics and other various items
  •  Introduced new mechanics to the system based off the skill pass
  •  Once the skill pass has been completed, missions may be acquired
  •  Slaughter missions will task you with an objective to complete
  •  Completing a slaughter mission will result in 10 million tokens & 100,000 slaughter experience
  •  Most of the item rewards now have a slaughter level requirement 

 

Achievement

  •  Re-wrote the achievement core functionality
  •  Achievements are now tiered, must complete the first to progress to the next
  •  Made an interface to view specific details regarding each achievement
  •  Modified and cleaned up the achievement tab interface 
  •  Added many new achievements (30 tiered available)

 

Store

  •  Re-worked the functionalities of the store system
  •  Stores can now be grouped together for easier access when navigating 
  •  Main interface was re-made 
  •  Fixed a few issues with the item inspector interface
  •  Made a few changes/adjustments to the item inspector interface
  •  Various stores have had significant changes (new items, prices, groups)

 

Item Creations

  •  Wrote a system to handle using items with each other to create another item
  •  Can check for skill or custom requirements easily
  •  Added the ability to create a slayer helmet (e)
  •  Added the ability to create all available ornament items (fury & dragon armours)
  •  Added the ability to make the dragonfire shield
  •  Added the ability to make all the godswords
  •  Added the ability to make all the spirit shields

 

Combat Blacklist

  •  Wrote a system to handle blacklisting players from attacking you
  •  Constructed a dedicated interface for the system
  •  Only works in PvP zones; wilderness & minigames will not factor blacklists
  •  If you have blacklisted someone then you may not attack that player as well
  •  Maximum 10 blacklists 
  •  Adding someone to the blacklist will cost a fee

 

Global World Events

  •  Re-wrote the existing event system 
  •  Events are randomly chosen every two and a half hours
  •  Players can only participate in an event if they chose to join
  •  Players have an option to quickly gear themselves in appropriate event gear
  •  Players have an option to teleport to the nearest bank of the event
  •  Players can view what kind of rewards will be given for the event
  •  Added support for live world map position tracking

 

  •   Tank Bot
    •    The bot has various areas that it can spawn at (canifis, lumbridge, alkahrid, falador, etc)
    •    The bot has 8 super restores & 20 saradomin brews
    •    The bot will automatically switch prayers & armour if being maged
    •    Players will have 30 minutes to kill the bot

 

  •   Loot Runners
    •    Runners will spawn at shantay pass and will run all the way to the edgeville Monestrary
    •    Runners are extremely resistant to magic however there is a small chance that they may be frozen
    •    Players will have 15 minutes to kill the runners

 

  •   Night-Gazing
    •    The gazer npc will spawn in the center of the mage arena (multi)
    •    The gazer can poison, teleport, daze, electrify, and burn players
    •    The gazer has 32,000 HP and the person to deal the most damage will win
    •    The gazer isn't effected by melee

 

  •   Chest of Death
    •     A chest will spawn at a random location around the wilderness
    •     You can only open the chest if you are level 126 and are risking 100k BP    
    •     Opening the chest requires 30 seconds without interruptions
    •     Once the chest has been looted you will be given a package
    •     You must reach the safe-zone without the use of a teleport (levers included)
    •     Logging out or death will cause the the package to spawn back to the chest

 

Other

  •  Added a npc to teleport to either side of the skilling island     
  •  Added the royal seed pod
  •  Added basic support for entering doors/gates (full door system will be worked on later)
  •  Added various gates and doors (alkahrid, kbd, wilderness, etc)
  •  Mage bank is now a safe-zones
  •  Barbarian village & parts of alkahrid are now a multi-zone
  •  Added a banker to mage bank
  •  Added a bunch of new titles (30+)

 

Client

  • Around 50 items from OSRS have been added (this ranges from rune pouch - avernic defender)
  • A few items from higher revisions have been added (tokhaar cape, completionist cape).

 

  • RuneLite
    • Official development for integrating runelite into the client has commenced
    • Proper loading and saving values
    • Rendering for safe mode, software, open GL & directX 
    • Customizable and dynamic multi-layer overlay rendering

 

  • Plugins
    • Ammo
      • Shows the current ammo the player has equipped
    • Attack styles 
      • Shows the current player attack style
      • Specific attack styles can be selected to warn you when active
      • Specific attack styles can be hidden from the tab
      • Auto retaliation can be hidden
    • Camera
      • Expand zoom settings, render and fog distances
      • Zooming no longer requires shift + ctrl and will not interfere with interfaces
    • FKeys
      • Modify which function each tab should handle
    • Mouse tooltips
      • Renders default actions as a tooltip)
    • Notes
      • Handles creating, modifying and deleting notes
    • Opponent information
      • Display the name and health of the opponent you are in combat with
      • Distinguish the npc your are in combat with in the right-click menu
    • Shift-drop
      • Toggles the ability to hold shift to quickly drop items from your inventory
    • Status bars
      • Draws status bars next to the player's inventory containing important information about the player
    • Tile indicators
      • Highlight your current tile, the tile you are hovering, and the tile you are walking to

Good updates but 1 problem.

 The gazer has 32,000 HP and the person to deal the most damage will win = Will end up with 1 person having Best gear and getting the loot 24/7 so It will end up slowly becoming dead content so  making it so everyone who did over like 200-300 Dmg get loot and Person who have MVP(most damage) will have a increased chance on getting better loot. This is how other PVP servers(This way or a other way like this) do like Wilderness bosses and Bosses ends up being active 24/7 because bosses end up being one of best ways to rebuild but you need add some limits to this like Making it so only 1 account per IP Address can attack it or you get teams with number of alts farming it 😃

The area around the gazer is wilderness so players can be attacked. These events are mostly made for clans to compete for an objective. When we get around to completing combat for npcs we have plans on populating the wilderness with various different bosses which will help earn BP. As it stands, the best way to make BP is simply killing other players while doing slayer/achievements.

I would say there should be 3 tiers of drops

 

Tier 1

 

Anyone to deal more than 250 damage

 

Tier 2

 

Anyone to deal more than 750 damage

 

Tier 3

 

Most damage dealt

 

Each reward tiered respectively
